Zoe was already a friend of mine when she came to me to talk about how she could change her life. She knew about my programme and my successes from a personal connection for me as a friend and now wanted to professionally. We started with the consultation sessions and worked out a programme to help Zoe achieve her goal; creating online content.
When it came to creating digital content, Zoe had no idea where to begin. She didn't know which platform would be best or what to do to get started. We decided that TikTok (at the time, Muical.ly) was the best option. We talked through the kind of content she wanted to create, and then I gave her the piece of advice which everyone needs to hear at some point: Don't procrastinate!
The easiest way to get started is to just start. With a little bit of a push, Zoe posted her first video.
As we continued through the programme, she regularly posted content on TikTok. Very, very slowly, her views and likes began to grow. She was happy with the level of growth she was seeing and continued to use the skills I taught her to achieve sustained growth over time. As her views and likes grew, so did her confidence.
One day, Zoe called me out of nowhere - she received 25k views on a video and wasn't sure what to do.
I was thrilled for her; this was the goal of our programme. But Zoe felt overwhelmed and unsure, not unusual for someone suddenly afraid of their own success. There was a sudden jump, and she wasn't sure what to do next. As her views kept on increasing over the next couple of weeks, she grew more comfortable with her success and continued to post more content. With success, Zoe felt comfortable investing in better equipment for future success.
At the time of writing, Zoe has five million followers on TikTok and hundreds of thousands of views per video. She quit her job and earns money on TikTok full time, making a living through sponsorship deals. To add to that, she's now managing a YouTube channel, a popular Instagram page and has risen to become a well-known influencer.
Most importantly, she's happy with where she is right now. When she came to me, she didn't know what she wanted, she didn't have clear goals or knew the first step. Working together and pushing Zoe to post her first video is a perfect example of how there is a time like the present. The timing is never perfect, but now it is as perfect as it gets.
